Matt Donnantuoni, a St. Petersburg native, founded Carmil Cabinetry drawing inspiration from his grandmother Carmela, better known as Millie. Growing up, Matt spent many hours in her kitchen learning to cook and appreciating her attention to detail and pride in her work. Her dedication left a lasting impression, inspiring him to build a cabinetry business grounded in the same care and craftsmanship he experienced in her home. In her honor, the two names were merged and Carmil Cabinetry was born.

Before founding Carmil Cabinetry, Matt’s perspective was shaped by years of exposure to residential development through his family, where he gained an early understanding of how thoughtful design and quality execution come together in well-built homes. During high school, he spent summers working with a luxury cabinetry firm, developing an appreciation for craftsmanship, materials, and the level of detail required to execute at a high standard. While building a career in cybersecurity, Matt remained connected to residential projects. Following Hurricane Helene, he chose to step away and founded Carmil Cabinetry with the goal of helping support and rebuild his local community.

Today, Carmil works closely with homeowners, builders, and designers to deliver well-coordinated cabinetry projects across the greater Tampa Bay area, carrying forward the principles that shaped its founding and a commitment to serving clients with care and consistency.
